Explore the guide
Find your club. Find your fit.
Explore 97 clubs listed in Volleyball BC’s directory, organized by the eight BC Games zones. These are starting points for research, not rankings. Clubs serving more than one zone appear in each relevant section. [1, 5]
The age groups and membership statuses below are a snapshot checked October 4, 2026. Confirm teams, coaches, practice gyms, fees and signing terms with the club. An unlisted age group means the directory did not specify one; it does not establish that a program is unavailable.
BC Games zones are a useful geographic browsing structure. They do not establish club membership, permission to transfer or BC Games eligibility. Club service areas can cross boundaries. Surrey and White Rock sit in Fraser River; Richmond and Delta sit in Vancouver–Coastal. Confirm exact community boundaries with BC Games. [5]

Beach volleyball in this zone
VBC lists Victoria Volleyball Association as a beach option. For other Island, Central Coast and Powell River communities, check local youth coaching and court access. Ask about ferry travel when considering mainland events. [6]

Beach volleyball in this zone
The checked VBC beach directory does not name a North West provider. Ask local clubs and recreation departments about supervised youth training, courts and regional competition. A directory gap is not evidence that no beach volleyball is available. [6]

Beach volleyball in this zone
VBC’s beach page includes a Prince George Beach League listing with older, 2025 dates. Ask VBC’s northern contact about current youth opportunities; do not treat that listing as a confirmed 2027 schedule. Check coaching and court access in your own community too. [6]
These are research starting points, not a complete beach directory or confirmed summer 2027 programs. Read the BC-wide beach guide.
Compare the actual commute
Ask for the practice gym, not just the club’s home city. Test the door-to-door school-night journey. In the Interior and North, discuss winter-road cancellations; on the coast, include ferries, accommodation and missed sailings. A strong roster can still be an unsuitable family commitment.
- Which practices and tournaments are mandatory? Who approves absences?
- Can a family decline unsafe travel without pressure? Who makes the cancellation decision?
- Does the club share transport or accommodation costs, and who supervises overnight travel?
Ask families with different experiences
Speak with a starter, a player with limited court time and a family that left. Ask for examples of feedback, changed expectations and complaint handling. Compare accounts without treating a single glowing or angry review as a verdict.
Keep alternatives open
School teams, skill groups, recreation and beach training may offer a useful development season. Ask about qualified supervision and insurance for the specific activity. Avoid buying an unsuitable club season because another parent says serious athletes must accept any spot.
